A very valuable book, October 16, 2009

I've read this book over and over, but unfortunately, when the time came, I ignored some of its valuable advice and paid the personal price by having my marriage end in divorce. Had I followed the advice in this book, I'm sure I would have made a wiser choice in a mate - and I resolve to do so if I get another opportunity.
This is a book offering great advice on how to build a successful relationship which is dearly needed in the world today where the majority of marriages end in divorce - the majority of people today should read this book.
My advice: buy it.

If after said reflection you decide that you indeed do want your ex back, the book suggests that you don't come off too strong in your desire to rekindle the flame - lest you alienate him or her with your overeagerness. It preaches a soft sell approach, patience -- even in the face of your ex seeing someone else and perserverence.
When I went through a rocky breakup, this book gave me great comfort because it reminded me that nearly all relationships are salvageable.
As an epilogue, I will tell you that I did use some of the tactics suggested in this book and they, without a shadow of a doubt, did work. But, ultimately, I decided that I did not want my ex back. We remain freinds to this day, though.
